Game of PODs makes learning and practicing your Kubernetes skills fun by providing you with a set of challenges. Such as to deploy new applications to a cluster, troubleshooting existing applications, troubleshooting and fixing security and network related issues within the cluster and many more.
Let me now walk you though what it is and how to play it.
Access the game portal at kodekloud.com/p/game-of-pods
The challenge portal opens in a new window. You are given an architecture diagram of the application to be deployed and a count down timer before which you must complete all tasks. In this case we are working towards redeploying an application stack from scratch. In this case It happens to be a stack including Drupal and Mysql .
The architecture involves creating and configuring persistent volumes, persistent volume claims, deploying Drupal and mysql applications, configuring mysql-secret, and configuring the deployment to use the secret. If you are new to any of these topics make sure to go through them first. If you need our help, checkout our courses on Kubernetes Administration and Application Development at KodeKloud. We have lectures that simplify complex concepts followed by hands-on labs where you practice what you learned on a real Kubernetes cluster very much like this. And get certified on Kubernetes.

Awesome idea. Gamification of IT is something we are dreaming of for 15+ years. I loved Rise of Empires that time, when I was thinking about something like this.
While this is awesome and it shows the work completed and a overall dashboard, we need to have clarity on resource allocation.
Like in Rise of Empires, if you can show n number of people building a certain thing and y number of people building something else, and on the top bar we showcase people based on a few core skills who can be reallocated to another project based on what's burning more, that would be awesome++.
What you have is tremendous though. Loved the effort.
this is dope !!
Hmm, this isn't working anymore? Server died? I'm submitting my email address but a browser alert pops up saying: "Could not connect to the registration server. Please try again later."
Its Awesome Idea @mumshad
